Dispensations from the Babylonian Captivity to the Second Coming provide the framework for understanding the Bible and rightly dividing the word of Truth. During the span of this period of time for example, the Church Age is an intercalation (insertion) in the prophetic calendar. In this Church age the believer becomes the agent for God's redemptive action (as ambassadors) to the realization of the kingdom of God. Angels become only guardian-servants and learn from us, the Church (1 Pet. 1:12). Israel is also now temporarily set aside until the rapture of the Church.
