The word 'Millennium' means one thousand years (from Latin: mille, thousand and annum, year; millennium, "thousand years"). The term 'Millennium' comes from Revelation 20:2-7, where Christ is said to reign for a literal one thousand years with all saints, including those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus during the Tribulation (v.4). The saints are said to have come to life, but the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended (Rev. 20:4,5).
