The Bible is a drama about the coming of Jesus Christ who is the eternal Word Logos and
eternal Son of God (Jn. 1:1-5, 14-18; Rev. 19:11-16 v. 13) but begotten as the promised
seed of the woman who will come to bruise the head of the serpent and restore blessings
through the seed of Abraham and David (Gen. 3:15; 12:1-3, 7; Ps. 89:20-37; Matt. 1:1, 16,
18-25; Lk. 1:31-35; 2:11; Jn. 3:13-18; Acts 3:25, 26; 13:26-39; Rom. 1:3, 4; 4: 13-25; Gal.
3:13-16; 4:4-6; Heb. 2:9-18). The implication is that he will be the perfect substitute for
sin (Gen. 3:19; Jn. 3:14-18). As Savoir, He is to save humanity from original sin and the
resultant sins with all sins’ consequences and die in all levels of death (spiritual, physical
and eternal) by his virgin birth (Matt. 1:1, 16, 18-25; Mk. 1:1-12; Lk. 1:31-35; 3:23-38).
Furthermore, in the Bible, only God is Saviour and that no one can save apart from Him
(Is. 45:21-22).
